Villa Clara Province is located in the center of Cuba, bordering the Atlantic Ocean. The sprawling Archipelago Jardines del Rey – with its 2500 islets and keys – is strung along the coast here.

Three ‘cayos’ (keys) in particular make superb beach vacation destinations: Las Brujas, Ensenachos and Santa María. The breathtaking beaches of these cayos, along with the variety of maritime diversions on offer including scuba diving, snorkeling, and deep-sea fishing, are the main draws here. The cayos are connected to the Cuban mainland (at Caibarién) by a causeway built to provide access to these paradisiacal islets.

Santa Clara is the provincial capital and makes a worthwhile stop en route to the cayos and beaches to the north. It’s where Che Guevara led rebels in the Cuban Revolution’s decisive victory, leading to the construction of the impressive monument to and mausoleum of the celebrated guerilla.

Santa Clara also has four universities and unique cultural centers, contributing to a stimulating, urbane atmosphere – kick back on a park bench in the city’s Parque Vidal to get a taste. Santa Clara is also home to the "Naranjas", the provincial baseball team.

Remedios, one of Cuba’s oldest cities; is an archetypical colonial town and a picturesque stop on the way to the cayos.

In addition to tourism, important facets of the province’s economy include sugar (Villa Clara is Cuba’s second largest sugar producing area) and other crops, particularly tobacco.

Hostal Florida Center – Santa Clara Rentals: A beautiful residence built in the year 1876 is located only 200 meters of the Central Park of the city (Parque Vidal). This is a classic representation of colonial Spanish architecture of the epoch. The house maintains its original spirit and structure, although has had some modifications than bring it near to eclectic style, has spacious living rooms exquisitely decorated with crystal baccarat lamps, Art deco, streetlamps at outside corridors and courtyard, perillas´s furniture (inhaled in baroque style, present in some Cubans houses with abundant carved and lathed elements) and floors reinserted since 1912 that were imported from Turkey. Has a courtyard with a cistern, gardens, orchids, and tropical birds. The bedrooms are located around the courtyard in order to have a good use of the solar light and the ventilation. We rent two bedrooms, the first one is decorated to colonial style and the other to Art deco style; the bedrooms have air conditioning, fan, private bathrooms, TV, refrigerator and paymasters with wines for more demanding tastes. Copious breakfasts and excellent foods are served at a luxurious courtyard, surrounded of ornamental plants with a lot of professionalism. This house was a private restaurant very renamed at our city. We offer services of dry cleaner's, tourist free information, recommendations, advice of outings, places to discover and visiting in town, parking available, etc. The owner speaks English and French. This domestic edification is considered one of the must remarkable of the country, recently received an Especial Mention in the 2008 Provincial Reward of Conservation and Restoration of Monuments; it is the first time that a particular house receives this distinction in Villa Clara province. .........One excellent address, one of the favourite in Cuba...!
